The Dual Shock 3 is the new innovative PlayStation 3 controller from Sony with rumble feature. The standard PS3-controller shipped with the PlayStation 3 has no rumble feature and the quality of the controller is poor in comparison with the quality of the new Dual Shock 3 controller available worldwide. On June 12th 2008 Sony will release a Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3 bundle with a 80GB PS3 and the Dual Shock 3 controller.
As there is still no American release date for the Dual Shock 3 controller, more and more gamers import their controllers from Japan. Creative minds have managed to figure out how to modificate the PS3 Dual Shock 3 controllers. Some people always want to have something exclusive they even make the sacrifice of unscrewing their new Dual Shock 3 controller to modificate the LEDs from the controller.

At CES 2008 Sony has announced that Kojima Productions’ Metal Gear Solid 4 for PlayStation 3 is a PS3-exclusive. They also announced that MGS 4 supports the new Dual Shock 3 version of the SIXAXIS. Metal Gear Solid 4 will be running at 1080 p and the next Metal Gear Solid will be a PS3-exclusive as well.
During their Tokyo Game Show press conference Sony Computer Entertainment has announced that the new SIXAXIS Dual Shock 3 controller for PlayStation 3 isn’t coming out in North America and Europe until Spring 2008. Meanwhile you’ll have to keep playing with your non-rumbling PS3 controller or a more pleasant and better way to game with vibration is ordering an import Dual Shock 3 controller. The PlayStation 3 and its hardware is region free so there is no reason to wait until Spring 2008 to get some vibration into that PS3 controller!
